Single Orb / The Apparition

Under the left curtain, appears to be an orb that bares a face or skull likeness. The photo was taken with a Sony digital camera. There was nothing that could have reflected in that area of the frame. No light was emitted from outside. The foundation of this house dates into the 1860's. It was told to me, that on one occasion, a young woman woke from her sleep in the early morning hours, to what she thought was no reason at all. She then noticed shape decending from a ceiling corner adjacent to her (in the room on the left of the picture). Gradually, it grew in size until it took the form of an adult male. The apparition then rested by the foot of the bed. As if he was sitting next to, not on the bed. He was appearing to hold a hand to his head. He looked to be in a state of distress or sadness. Within a few minutes of being told "Go away, shoo, shoo, Go away, you scare me!", he disappeared.

Jesus Picture and the Young Boy

"This was taken in 1985 just before Christmas. The experience of a family of 7 were many, but here are the most memorable. My dad built the house in the `50s, so only we lived there, but the house was always haunted. It had a sense of foreboding that never left. Our dogs often stared, growled, and bristled their hair, eyes following something we could not see. My sister lay in bed one night and heard chains and growling dogs running back and forth from window to window outside her room. She ran out terrified. She woke up one morning to see our dead grandpa standing at the foot of her bed, smiling. Doors opened, there were cold spots, unexplained noises, odors, lights going on at all hours, washer and dryer coming on at 3 a.m."

"My dad had a 30 foot boat trailored out in the yard thats engine would suddenly roar into life late at night. Once my dad was yanked out of his bed by the ankles. His screams woke my mother who found him wide eyed on the floor. I was grabbed, hard, in the sides and tickled while I was in bed. It hurt and I was swinging my arms trying to hit whoever it was, and my arms just swung thru the air hitting nothing, yet the tickling continued. It was so hard it was lifting me off the bed. I thought it'd never stop, but finally it did. My parents often came home to find us kids sitting out front waiting for them to come home because we had been scared out of the house. We heard footsteps, and things often turned up missing, only to reappear later in a most obvious place. Toilets often flushed with a jiggling of the handle just to be sure. The picture told us what we already knew, we had a ghost."

Mammoth Cave

The slave guide Stephen Bishop, helped many slaves escape through this massive cave, hiding in the caverns, until the coast was clear. Bishop loved the cave so much, he didn't want to leave it, even after he had been freed, he dissapeared into the dark recesses...

Melissa took her Yankee lover in, then ditched him as a practical joke. The Yankee lover was never found, and Melissa still searches echo river. Floyd Collins was lost for 16 days before he died in abject terror. After he was buried, they dug up his remains, and displayed them in glass coffin, at the entrance, where they charged admission. This scam was very profitable, until someone stole Floyd's body, It was finally returned, missing the entire left leg. Inside the cave is an overweight ghost wearing an old fashioned cumberbund. Disembodied legs have been seen running down the hill, wearing overalls and workshoes. Many, many sightings of ghosts have been reported.

Hull House Devil Ghost

The strange child born to a devout mother and an atheist father, had cloven hooves, pointed ears, tiny horns, scale-covered skin, and a very long tail. In 1913 the atheist father brought the creature to Hull House. A charity home, run by Jane Addams. The father asked for help, he asked for sanctuary. Rumor spread like crazy, thousands came to get a look. Jane Addams denied the existence. Trying to protect the child.

Upstairs, in the left-hand window of the house, you can see a strange little face. Also, manifestations of luminous ectoplasm have been seen, ascending the staircase. Photos have been taken of the mysterious ectoplasmic mist. Also caught on film: four monk-like creatures (see photo) on the stairway to second floor.
